Debra Wengert is a successful Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has helped many people to resolve inner conflicts that hold them back from achieving their goals. I am different than other therapists because I listen intently to their concerns, ask what they want to accomplish, set goals, and provide recommendations to assist in their transition. My clients find success quickly when they comply with treatment. Homework assignments are anticipated, which are often simple to complete, but have a powerful effect on their progress. Interventions are based on client need and often enjoyable to complete. As a result of working with me, my clients are empowered to make life-changing events that last a lifetime. Clients often refer friends, family, and coworkers during and after treatment are completed.
Debra has more than 10 years experience working with individuals, couples and families. She specializes in treating individuals within their environment, not simply their diagnosis. She is eclectic in her style of therapy, which allows her to meet the client where they are in their lives and focus on specific needs rather than therapeutic style.
In addition to being a successful therapist, Debra has a degree in Special Education. Debra combines her teaching and therapeutic experience to facilitate change with her clients. Those who have worked with Debra have made life changes that resulted in an improved quality of life and a more positive outlook.
She is a therapist who loves helping others move forward in their lives. People come to her to release old patterns of behavior in favor of a more positive future. She works well with all populations and specializes in adolescent and women's issues. Debra has successfully run a Women's Group for 5 consecutive years, focusing on past trauma as well as resolving daily life issues. The members of the group found support, encouragement and learned to take back their power enabling them to make positive life changes. Debra also successfully ran an adolescent group which ranged in age from 12 to 18. The adolescents found emotional support and positive feedback from this group. They enjoyed the interactions and even requested longer sessions. They reminded their parents of their appointments and rarely missed a session.
Debra is an interactive, solution-focused therapist. Her therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual client to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplish.
